We are expanding our network of collaborators and clients with a focus on international markets. We want to learn about global trends in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products and dietary supplements, as well as the working methods of emerging markets that we hadn’t previously focused on. That’s why we decided it was worth investing time and effort to be present at some of the most interesting trade fairs held in Europe. On one hand, WorldFood Poland, the leading meeting point for the food industry in Eastern European countries, and on the other, Vitafoods Europe, the world’s premier nutraceutical sector event. Additionally, a Sincrofarm delegation attended Interpack, the major packaging industry event. The results could not have been more positive.
This is Europe: a market with great potential
The ninth edition of WorldFood Poland brought together 289 companies in Warsaw, 45% of them foreign, from 32 countries. Our booth was the only representative from Spain. It was our first time attending, and the main takeaway was that Eastern Europe is a highly interesting market with great potential for developing projects.
In the numerous contacts we established during the fair, we observed that nutraceutical companies are eager to do things right on all levels: regulatory, quality, effectiveness, and rigor in their working methods, always supported by the relevant studies to back up the projects being developed.
Vitafoods: The largest global fair in the nutraceutical sector
From Warsaw to Geneva. In May, we returned to Vitafoods, this time with our own booth, to experience three intense days. It was a great experience for the entire team, allowing us to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that characterizes the largest global fair in the nutraceutical sector, where international market trends are defined. The more than 720 exhibitors from 135 countries clearly illustrate the magnitude of the event.
Our team was busy attending visits, which provided us with a good number of new contacts. We are very grateful for the interest shown in our services and processes and thrilled to have had the opportunity to reconnect with many of our collaborators, both clients and suppliers.
Regarding trends, we were able to observe the growing importance of using the latest technologies in the development of smart products, formulations, and ingredients to offer multiple consumption options.
- Gummies are more popular than ever, with an endless range of shapes, textures, and flavors.
- Following the pandemic, a new business avenue has emerged focused on the online leisure community, with brands developing products specifically designed for those who spend long hours in front of screens.
- There is also an increase in formulations aimed at gastrointestinal health, with multiple formats.
- Two other defining trends in the industry: sustainability and scientific rigor in the development of new products.
Interpack: Everything you need to know about packaging
More than 2,800 exhibitors from 155 countries presented new ideas, trends, and innovations in Düsseldorf over the course of one week, which will shape the packaging and processing industry for the coming years. Our CEO, Albert Galimany, and COO, Joan Feliu, visited the fair to learn about the latest advancements in machinery and process engineering, with the goal of optimizing production operations and offering new shapes and formats.
We returned from our European tour with a suitcase full of ideas and new challenges. At Sincrofarm, we make a continuous effort in innovation to improve the quality of our products, offer more sustainable solutions, and provide our clients with agile and flexible service.
